Lil' Mama - Lipgloss
Seventeen-year-old Lil' Mama is a new bubblegum hip-hop artist (you know they exist) currently being flogged by Jive Records, but unlike anything that has ever been flogged by Jive Records, her promo single "Lipgloss" is surprisingly good. It's cute, simple, catchy and fun--a sort of anti-"Fergalicious", if you will. It's completely acapella except for some handclaps and drum machine percussion, making whoever the hell produced this kind of a genius. Wait for the bit where she gets called into the principal's office because they just have to know where she got her lipgloss from. It's like if Molly Ringwald's character in The Breakfast Club was black and got transported to PS 180 circa 2007.
