Lucy and the Caterpillar or Girls Are Nice, Part Two
In addition to Kate Nash (who's single just got panned by the NME--whatever, we like it), we're also head-over-heels in love with with chirpy-voiced Mancunian 18-year-old singer-songwriter Lucy and the Caterpillar. The video for her debut single "Red Red Wine"* is up on YouTube. We know, who would have thought.
So '90s! It looks like something that would be on MTV really late at night when we were in the 6th grade. It's kind of like a pre-children/crazy Liz Phair or something... not as lyrically deft, but who knows what an album might bring. Stream some more songs on Lucy's myspace page.
*Not a UB40 cover, sadly
